Google Earth Overlay

Thanks go to Ray Perkins, VA3RFP, for his creation TrackerGE (Tracker Google Earth) which he used to capture this track. Visit his website,

http://web.295.ca/~gpz550/GEtrax/

to obtain a copy of his program. However, once you have recorded the track you can view it without TrackerGE. You only need the data file and a copy of Google Earth.

note: TrackerGE has morphed into GETrax as it has evolved over the past 12 months.

To view the track displayed below, download this file:

If you have Google Earth installed on your computer you can unzip it and double click on the extracted file, Google Earth will launch and you will be greeted by a view of the earth which then zooms into this image:

You can then "play" with a three dimensional representation of the flight track of EOSS-100 as shown below in individual screen captures.

Looking southeast from the vicinity of the Intrado Launch Site towards the touchdown location.

Look down on the track as you might on any other non-3D application.

Looking at the flight from just south west of Idaho Springs, Colorado.
